Small and elaborate C18 garden on a sloping site described by Horace Walpole as “little, but pretty … a very diminutive principality with large pretentions”. Surviving C18 features include a round temple, terracing, yew avenue, and kitchen garden. Periphery of landscape now encroached upon by modern built development.
