Kitchen for Countess of Westmoreland, 1927: three C20 walled formal gardens, one in walled kitchen garden; C19 avenue, lodge; C19 air-shaft for railway tunnel in style of Gothic tower; stables; remains of C17/C19 formal terraced gardens now under grass and woodland; C19 raised terrace walk behind crenellated ‘fortifications’ ending in raised terreplain with corner bastions; C19 woodland ‘wilderness’; summerhouse, loggia and lily-pool.

1664 – license granted to Edward Stephens to enlarge his park called the Grove to 700 acres.
!665 - Indenture refers to Lygrove Park of 300 acres and Lygrove Farm in the part of 350 acres.
1795 map indicates Lygrove as all rented as farmland except the areas of woodland.
